Not every clearance means emptying a whole house. You might be making space for a relative to move in, preparing a room for a lodger, getting a home ready for viewings, or simply tackling the room everyone has been avoiding. A partial clearance lets you choose exactly what goes.
Popular partial clearances
- Spare bedrooms and box rooms that have become storage
- Lofts, attics and cupboards
- Garages and sheds
- Old furniture and white goods after a refurbishment
- One floor of a house, or the contents of a flat above a shop
- Staged clearances over several visits, when a family needs time to decide
Working in an occupied home
Partial clearances often happen while people are still living in the property, so we work tidily, protect doorways and floors, and agree a time that suits the household. If an older relative is staying in the home, we will go at a pace that suits them and explain what is happening as we go.
Clear instructions, no surprises
Before we start, we walk through the job with you, in person or by video, and confirm exactly what is going. If you change your mind on the day about an item, just tell the team.

What happens to the things we take away
We sort as we clear. Furniture and household goods in good condition go to reuse and charity partners where they will be accepted, materials such as metal, wood, textiles and electricals are recycled, and only what cannot be reused or recycled is disposed of. We are a registered waste carrier with . Our registration number is available to customers on request.
Reuse and donate
Usable furniture and household goods go to local charities and reuse projects.
Recycle
Metal, wood, textiles, paper and electricals go to licensed recycling facilities.
Dispose legally
Only what cannot be reused or recycled is disposed of, with waste transfer notes kept for every job.
Questions people ask
Is there a minimum amount you will clear?
No. We can take a few large items or a single room, and the quote reflects the size of the job.
Can you clear in stages?
Yes. Some families prefer to clear a home over two or three visits so they have time to decide what to keep.
Will you take things from upstairs flats?
Yes. Stairs, tenement closes and tight landings are part of everyday work in Scotland. Tell us about access when you ask for a quote.
